This past weekend, I had the privilege to experience the new Sears Home & Life store in Lafayette for their Grand Opening festivities! They put on such a fun event for the entire family. With raffle giveaways, food trucks, and music, you would have mistaken it as a mini festival. Sears Home & Life is a new concept store, but the Sears brand has been a part of my life since I was a little kid and even my parents’ lives as kids.
I wanted to point out that Sears has incredible customer service. Some of the services offered by the Lafayette Sears Home & Life store include:
A WELCOME SERVICE DESK: This desk is the center of attention when entering the store and the perfect place to ask all of your appliance or home questions.
SEARS “SEARCH BAR” KIOSK: At this kiosk in the store you can access the Sears website which includes their entire product line. If you choose to purchase an item from the online site you have the option to pick up in store or for the item to be delivered to your home.
FREE STORE PICKUP on any item purchased on Sears.com: If the products purchased online needs to be returned you can easily do that in store as well as online.
IN-VEHICLE PICKUP: Shop Your Way members can shop online or in the Sears app to choose in-vehicle pickup. The Lafayette store has reserved spots specifically for in-vehicle pickup customers.
SEARS HOME SERVICES: Th Sears Home Services is probably my favorite out of everything I have mentioned so far. This service offers appliance repairs, as well as consulting with a professional about your home improvement needs. These home improvement needs include things such as the purchase of products like windows, roofing, kitchen cabinets, countertops, flooring and more. The manager of the Lafayette Sears Home & Life store explained to me that if you purchased an appliance from Sears, and on Thanksgiving morning it went out, a service repair man will come out that day to repair the appliance! Now that is customer service!
Now, you know I wasn’t able to leave the store without treating myself to something. One thing we have never purchased was a “fancy” coffee machine. Michael is definitely a “the simpler the better” type of guy, but I have been wanting a coffee pot that also has the capability to grind coffee beans. When I spotted this Kenmore Elite at the Sears Home & Life store I basically ran over to it and carried it around the store. I had to have it! This coffee pot has the ability to brew coffee like normal, so don’t worry if you don’t always have beans on hand. I just love that it gives me the option to brew both types.
I also wanted to share some photos of the beautiful store. Trust me when I say that the Sears Home & Life store in Lafayette has literally all of your everyday home and life needs. Pop in the next time you are looking for anything for your home; from mattresses, stoves, and refrigerators to tools, vacuums, and lawnmowers.
