Good morning ladies! How gorgeous is this floral dress?! I knew as soon as I saw it I would be wearing it well into Fall, so I had to style it up for y’all. I love getting the most out of pieces I really love and by styling one dress two ways I think I will get a lot of bang for my buck! The overall dress is actually a very subtle pale pink color which is so stunning against all of the other colors throughout the dress. They really pop off of the dress and make a statement.
Summer doesn’t seem to be going anywhere any time soon. This Yumi Kim dress is the perfect lightweight and cool option to finish out the season paired with strappy heals. Honestly, I would even pair this dress with some white converse and a jean jacket and call it a day. Since crisp weather probably won’t show up till after Thanksgiving, a pair of sock boots easily gives this dress a Fall vibe. If the weather happens to cool down then throw on a fun faux fir coat to warm of this look. What do you think? Would you wear this dress from Summer to Fall and how would you style it?
Michael is entering his last year at LSU. We are SO excited, but also anxious/nervous for what the future will look like. These past few months have been a rollercoaster ride of stress. We have relied on financial aid to pay for school and basically our life since we started this journey. Every year Michael reapplies and every year it’s no big deal. Everything is approved and we are good to go. Well, I guess when you have been in and out of school accumulating way too many hours and never actually graduating you get flagged. This year we were denied financial aid and my heart sank and I got nauseas. Michael does work, but it’s not enough to pay for school, bills, etc. How he has worked while carrying his school load and a family is truly God. He is incredible! Anyway, we appealed the financial aid and they approved us again! Yay! Right? Wrong. Two weeks later we receive a letter stating that he has deviated from his coarses and they are pulling financial aid AGAIN! This happened just a week and a half ago. We were frantically trying to figure out what our options were. Michael decided to appeal it again. He did this on a Friday. By the following Tuesday we still hadn’t heard from the financial aid office. Wednesday morning out of no where he received an e-mail “Financial Aid Appeal APPROVED”. Thank you Jesus we are now covered for the next two semesters. He will graduate in May with a degree in Petroleum Engineering.
Now the process of applying for jobs will begin in September. Please pray he gets offered a job near home, but he will gladly accept any job anywhere!
Thank you so much for reading this long post (if you made it this far) and don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE!
